Basic Info
Name:Spike (OU)
Birthdate:1985-10-04
Bio
Character: Spike
Series/Fandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel
Original or Alternate: Original

Age: 153 years old
Gender: Male
Species: Vampire
Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: Spike tends to wear clothing that allows him to conceal himself in the darkened alleys he haunts. This means a lot of black. In general, he wears a darker red or black shirt, along with a leather duster jacket and tight black pants. He personally is still in the punk phase of attire, somewhat, keeping his hair platinum blonde. He is fairly lanky, and usually bends backwards slightly, allowing his crotch to lead his walk.
Personality: This changes based on the day. Spike is usually trying to accomplish something to his own ends. Once his soul was restored, he found himself fighting for good out of desire to help, not necessity. Despite being ensouled, Spike is still usually ready with a quick insult for those around him. Never one to bite his tongue, he'll gladly tell you exactly what he thinks, when he thinks it.
Abilities/Strengths: Spike has the abilities of any vampire, however, because of his age, they are somewhat heightened. He has an innate sense of sight, smell, and hearing, and is capable of jumping higher than any humans. He is very strong, and as agile as any other vampire. He has been shown as able to formulate sound battle strategies, and often shows insight greater than those of others. His reflexes and stamina are also greatly heightened. He is also a skilled lockpick, able to treat injury, and can speak several languages fluently. Spike can fight with almost any hand-to-hand weapon he can find, and prides himself something of a street fighter as such. Weapons used include pipes and swords
Weaknesses: Spike has the common weaknesses of other vampires: Wooden stake, cross, holy water, and sunlight. Also, while he is a sound strategist, he rarely has the patience to see his plans through, choosing instead to attack head-on without thought. Another weakness is his devotion to those he loves. He will willingly for them.
Notable Possessions: A scar, above his left eye, which he received before killing a slayer in 1900 China. Also, his leather jacket, which he pilfered from Nikki Woods, another slayer, this time in New York in the 1970s. The original jacket was destroyed in an explosion, however, he got a new one from Wolfram and Hart, describing it as his "second skin."

History: William the Bloody, named such for his bloody awful poetry, was born in England in the mid-1800s. He lived an unremarkable life until, in his 25th year, 1880, he met a vampire named Drusilla, who sired Spike in order to have a plaything all her own. And her's he was. The dedicated boyfriend, Spike never left Dru for long. During their time together, he would learn of the vampire slayer. While most vampires avoided these creatures of dread, Spike sought them out, desiring a challenge. It was in 1900 that he met his first one. In the middle of the Boxer Rebellion, Spike fought a young Chinese girl, the one girl in all the world with the strength and speed to kill the vampires. Except on this night. Spike won the battle. Proudly, he sought out a second slayer some seventy years later in New York. Nikki Woods was a skilled slayer, but she, too, was killed. Spike had become the first vampire to kill two slayers.

Eventually, Drusilla fell ill. Wanting her better, Spike brought her to the Hellmouth. Sunnydale, California. As a pet project, he would also kill the slayer who happened to be there. Buffy Summers. Unlike the last two times, Buffy was more capable, and managed to stop Spike at every turn, even leaving him in a wheelchair after he'd cured Drusilla. Spike remained in this wheelchair, despite not needing it, until Buffy battled Angel and Dru to stop the end of the world. Spike knocked Dru unconscious, taking her far away. South America.

With Spike's betrayal, the romance fell apart. When Dru had an affair with a chaos demon, Spike found himself back in Sunnydale, promptly becoming the subject of a government experiment. He escaped the facility, but to his dismay, he now had a chip in his head that stopped him from harming humans. So, he did the next best thing; he teamed with Buffy and hurt demons. Until a new big evil came to town. Adam. he promised Spike he would remove the chip if Spike assisted him in taking over the world. Spike agreed, and, after failing, re-aligned himself with Buffy.

Buffy and her friends no longer trusted him, however he would prove himself as a trusted ally over the next year, even watching Buffy's little sister after she died. Buffy returned from the grave, and, feeling something was wrong, began a sexual relationship with Spike, who was in love with her. This continued for a few months, and when Buffy called it off, Spike attempted to rape her. Realizing what he was doing, he left town and went to Africa. While there, he fought three foes, and, upon defeating the third, he received his greatest desire; his soul.

Returning to Sunnydale, he shacked up in the basement of the local high school, completely out of his mind. The slayer soon realized the first was toying with Spike's mind, and helped him exercise his demons. Angel came, and gave Buffy a medallion, to be worn, "By someone with a soul, but who's more than human." Spike ended up wearing it. While launching the final battle on the Hellmouth, Spike made the ultimate sacrifice, dying in order to destroy the town, finally proving himself a true hero.

Three months later, the pendant arrives at Angel's new office of Wolfram and Hart. When it hits the floor, Spike appears, sans his corporeal form. After a few months of ghosting around the office, he manages to regain his body. He and Angel proceed to fight over who is the true hero, until the apocalypse rears its ugly head, yet again. The Senior Partners were stopped, when Angel and his gang defeated all their henchmen. In an act of anger, the Partners released thousands of demons on L.A. All seemed lost for Spike, but somehow, he managed to survive. And now, he finds himself here.
